Utilizing high-precision CNC turning centers and thread processing equipment, the thread pitch diameter tolerance can be stably controlled within the 6g standard, the pitch error ≤0.008mm/25mm, the thread profile half-angle deviation no more than ±15 minutes, and the thread surface roughness reaching Ra0.8μm.

Precise control of the thread termination and transition is particularly crucial. Through precise control of the tool exit path by the CNC program, the thread termination length can be controlled within the range of 0.5-1 thread, resulting in a smooth transition between the termination and the bolt, and reducing the stress concentration factor by 35%.

High consistency in mass production provides assurance for the manufacturing of critical equipment. This high consistency ensures uniform distribution of bolt preload during flange connections, significantly improving sealing reliability.

II. Integrated Machining of Complex Structures and Functional Features

CNC machining technology has transformed stainless steel bolts from simple fasteners into multifunctional connecting components. Bolts with flanges are machined in a single clamping operation, with the flange end face perpendicular to the axis ≤0.02mm, the sealing groove width accuracy on the back of the flange ±0.02mm, and the groove bottom roughness Ra1.6μm.

Precision forming of hollow bolts. Using deep hole machining technology, through holes or blind holes with diameters of 2-8mm can be machined inside slender bolts, with hole depths exceeding 100mm. The coaxiality between the hole axis and the bolt outer circle is ≤0.03mm, and the inner hole surface roughness Ra1.6μm.

Precise realization of multi-section differential diameter structures. Using a CNC turning center, multiple shaft segments of different diameters can be machined on the same bolt, with coaxiality between segments ≤0.01mm and transition fillet radius accuracy ±0.05mm, avoiding stress concentration.

III. Full utilization of material properties

Austenitic stainless steels such as 316L and 304 exhibit excellent performance in bolt manufacturing. By optimizing cutting parameters, precise dimensions are achieved while maintaining material corrosion resistance and an intact passivation film.

The high strength properties of precipitation-hardening stainless steel 17-4PH are fully utilized. Aging treatment achieves a hardness of HRC38-42 and a tensile strength exceeding 1100 MPa, while maintaining good toughness.

Precise control of surface integrity. Finishing achieves a surface roughness of Ra0.4-0.8 μm, while simultaneously creating a beneficial residual compressive stress field. For stainless steel bolts under alternating load conditions, the surface compressive stress layer depth is 0.05-0.1 mm, resulting in a fatigue life increase of more than 2 times.

IV. Synergistic Optimization of Heat Treatment and Surface Treatment

Perfect coordination between solution treatment and finishing. A 0.2-0.3 mm finishing allowance is reserved after rough machining. Precision machining is performed after solution treatment, eliminating the effects of deformation and ensuring final dimensional accuracy.

Precise control of passivation treatment. Passivation treatment is performed after precision machining, resulting in a uniform passivation film thickness and a neutral salt spray resistance time exceeding 1000 hours.

Integrated application of surface strengthening technologies. Thread roll forming is performed after CNC machining. After roll forming, the thread root radius (R-angle) is precisely controlled, and the residual compressive stress reaches over -600MPa.

V. Precision Machining of Special Thread Forms

Precise Achievement of Fine-Pitch Threads. Fine-pitch threads with a pitch of 0.35-0.5mm are precisely formed through CNC machining, with a thread profile error ≤0.01mm. Fine-pitch bolts for precision adjustment mechanisms achieve precise axial displacement per revolution, enabling micron-level adjustment.

Innovative Machining of Self-Locking Threads. A special thread profile is used, and a self-locking structure is machined on the thread, ensuring stable locking torque. Self-locking bolts for vibration applications offer more than 3 times the anti-loosening performance of ordinary bolts.

VI. Manufacturing Efficiency and Flexible Production

High-speed cutting technology significantly improves processing efficiency. Stainless steel cutting speeds can reach 150-250m/min. Combined with high-performance coated tools, the processing cycle for complex bolts from blank to finished product is shortened by more than 50% compared to traditional processes.
