I. What is an Extruded Aluminum Alloy Frame?

Aluminum alloy frames are integrally formed from 6061 and 6063 industrial aluminum profiles through hot extrusion. After cutting, drilling, tapping, CNC precision machining, and surface oxidation treatment, they are manufactured into frame structural components.

With advantages such as lightweight, high strength, corrosion resistance, ease of processing, and customizable sizes, aluminum frames are now widely used in industrial equipment, displays, and automated racks, making them the most in-demand frame-type metal accessories globally.

Traditional iron frames are heavy and prone to rust, while stainless steel frames are expensive and difficult to process. Aluminum frames, on the other hand, balance cost-effectiveness and performance, support custom-made irregular cross-sections, and perfectly match the installation needs of different equipment, making them the preferred material for frames across various industries.

 

II. Mainstream Aluminum Alloy Materials and Performance

6063 Aluminum Alloy (General Purpose)

Good ductility, smooth extrusion molding, uniform anodizing effect, moderate hardness, and easy cutting and drilling. Widely used for display screen frames, decorative frames, and assembly line racks. Moderate procurement cost, suitable for mass production.

6061 Aluminum Alloy (Industrial Load-Bearing Type)

Added magnesium and silicon alloy elements, resulting in higher tensile strength and load-bearing capacity, excellent weldability, and impact resistance. Commonly used in photovoltaic frames, mechanical equipment frames, testing instrument brackets, and frames for large outdoor equipment. Preferred choice for equipment requiring high structural stability.

7075 Aluminum Alloy (High-Strength Precision Type)

Ultra-high hardness, wear-resistant and deformation-resistant. Primarily used in high-end precision equipment and automated precision fixture frames. Higher cost, mainly for high-end custom orders.

III. Mainstream Surface Treatment Processes for Aluminum Frames

Anodizing (Silver/Black/Champagne)

The most common process, forming a dense oxide film on the surface, rust-proof, wear-resistant, and colorfast. Resilient to corrosion even after ten years of outdoor use. Standard process for photovoltaic and outdoor display frame frames.

Sandblasting Anodizing

Fine matte texture, no metallic reflection. Commonly used in high-end instruments and industrial displays. High-grade, scratch-resistant appearance.

Electrophoresis

High-gloss coating, waterproof and dustproof, rich colors, suitable for decorative display frames.

Powder Coating

Thick coating, super corrosion resistant, suitable for outdoor buildings and large equipment frames.

CNC Polishing + Brushed Finish

Mirror and brushed metallic texture, suitable for high-end electronic devices and high-end display screen decorative frames.

Q2: How long will I get the sample?

A2: Depends on your specific items, within 3-7 days generally.

Q3: What kinds of information do you need for a quote?

A3: Kindly please provide the product drawings in PDF, if provide in STEP or IGS will be better.

Q4: What are the payment terms?

A4: We accept 50% as a payment deposit, when the goods are prepared, we shoot photos or videos for your check, and then you can pay the balance. For small quantities, we accept Paypal, the commission will be added to the order. For big amounts, T/T is preferred.

Q5: How to deliver the goods?

A5: We deliver the products by courier company.

Q6: Are you a trading company or factory?

A6: We are factory direct with 17 experienced engineers and more than 50 employees as well approximate 3,000m2 workshop area.

Q7: What shall we do if we don't have drawings?

A7: Please send your sample to our factory, then we can copy and provide you better solutions. If send us pictures or drafts with dimensions(Length, Height, Width), CAD or 3D file will be made for you.

Q8: Can we get some samples before mass production?

A8: Absolutely yes.

Q9: Will my drawings be safe after sending them to you?

Q10: Is it possible to know the operation status of my products without visiting your company?

A10: We will offer a detailed production schedule and send weekly reports with digital pictures and videos which show the machining progress.
